The pockets on this coat are a bit smaller than on my EMS Winter coat, but this coat is so much warmer it is worth it. I bet that pockets are a bit like a window on a house, the bigger they are the more heat they allow to escape.My husband loves the coat. He is 73 and very cold natured. He is 70 inches tall and weighs 150 lbs. The medium fits perfect with a big sweater under the coat. The hood was an important detail because he has no hair/shaved head.
