This dress is absolutely stunning. I was a little worried about what the length would look like on me since I am just shy of 5ft, but the skirt length is still a few inches above my feet and doesn't risk tripping me. A perfect "maxi" dress for us short women! The material is non-stretch and a bit like chiffon, which I was initially a bit worried about too when I received it. I think this dress would function a little better if at least the top part was jersey stretch material, but I do like the thinner fabric so I can wear this in summer and not overheat. While the length and waist fit me fine, the top part is a little too big in the shoulders and under the arms, and this would probably work better for someone with a fuller chest than me. However, I do think I have enough sewing skills to take in the sides and the shoulders, since it zips in the back. So, I still plan to keep this dress because it's just too pretty to give up on and there's not a smaller size! The top pleating of the skirt is lovely too, very well done.
