LS2 Assault Full Face Motorcycle Helmet with Sun Shield - DOT Certified for Street & Off-Road Riding - Comfortable & Lightweight Design for Long Distance Touring

Bought the helmet for an 8 hour trip to Tennessee (one way) it was super comfortable the entire time, we ran into heavy rain several times and it did not leak or fog up at all thanks to the anti fog shield that came with it. I wear glasses and they fit well inside the helmet. My only complaint is at high speeds, (around 80mph and up) with the top vent open, there is alot of wind noise and some vibration, but that is just nitpicking honestly a great helmet. Over the past 4 days I have worn it for probably around 20 hours or more.Ordered the same size I've worn with other helmets (S). Should fit a 6 7/8 to 7 hat size. I am a 6 7/8. It was so tight, it gave me a headache in the 1 minute I had it on. I'm sending it back and ordering a Medium. I will be so disappointed if it's too big because the helmet is bad-ass.UPDATE: Got The medium and it fits perfectly. Installed the Cardo Pack Talk and am still waiting to test that out.The helmet is lightweight and comfortable. Room for speakers and an intercom device. I’d say, true to size on the measurement chart. I like that there is room to wear sunglasses comfortably while helmet is on. I did a long distance ride and my neck did not feel heavy or tired during the long ride like my other helmet made me feel. So that’s a plus! It’s a good looking helmet also.THE BAD: My helmet came with the wrong size pinlock (to big) so wasn’t able to put it on before our ride as planned. Very disappointed, as I got caught in a rain storm, instantly my visor fogged up and I was not able to see. I opened my visor having hail and rain pounding on my face not being able to see the road clearly. VERY DANGEROUS. Definitely needs the proper fitting pinlock before my next ride.This is my second LS2 helmet, the first one lasted 2 years and I got this one just to be safe as my motorcycle instructor explained that the padding in helmets that saves your brain in a collision is like styrofoam and breaks down over time/gets micro-fractures each time the helmet is dropped.What I love is the styling, built-in sunshade (not antifog, so treat it with some antifog lens cleaner), really great visor - keep it clean and the view is fantastic. Also, the option to open or close the face/top vent is really helpful. It also comes with an antifog Pinlock film custom fit for the visor (saving you $40).Complaints specific to this model: The view if I'm in a super aggressive riding stance during high wind, his speed, or rain is more for upright stance, so when I lean down it is necessary to crane my neck up just a little more than I would like to. This is fine as my bike is an adventure touring bike and I seldom ride that way, but I wish there was an inch more upward view. Could be the fit on my head too, not sure. It's also not the quietest helmet, but riding motorcycles rarely is a quiet activity.In summary, I love LS2 helmets and am very impressed with this model. The sunshade and vent levers are easy to access and if needed, I can pop the visor open a crack for really cold rainy days when even Pinlock can't keep the fog off the visor. I feel that it is very well designed and trust it for protecting my head. The visor comes off easily for cleaning and ventilation is good enough to usually keep from fogging, but also not so much that it gets too cold or hot inside.I love my helmet I've had it for about 2 months I just put a cardo pack talk bold in it works good. It has two vents I sometimes wish it had more air flow as a option. The pop down visor is very nice when the sun is in your eyes, and it easily pops back up.Very comfortable, and very snug helmet but not too tight. My head measures at 22 3/4in. but I got the Large helmet due to me knowing that the pads are a little thicker since I own another LS2 Assault helmet but with a different color scheme. If you're on the end mark for qualifying on a Medium size helmet just get the Large it's a more comfortable fit that doesn't squeeze your head.I loved basically everything about this helmet other than the fit (which is no fault of the helmet as I found out that my head shape is long oval not intermediate) the color looks fantastic, the drop down sun visor is nice and low, when I tested ventilation with a fan it did feel like alot of air was moving (never on bike tho so take with a grain of salt), the pin lock shield included in the box was a very nice touch as I would have gotten one anyway and that's around 30$ that would have been extra. The micrometric fastener was very comfortable to use and quicker than double d rings for me. Unfortunately I ended up sending it back because with a long oval head shape helmet made for a intermediate oval head just doesn't fit right. If you have a long oval like me your choices are much more limited but I found that the ls2 challenger/ challenger gt worked for meSpyder rider great service awesome productTamaño perfecto, súper ligero, estéticamente de ve muy bien.
