When I first tried it with just Clinique moisturizing gel, I was literally shocked. I bought a bottle of conducting gel for ultrasounds and tried the zappers with the two small prongs and was able to work my way up to the rods. The thing to remember is that this is supposed to stimulate your facial muscles to contract so that the subcutaneous structures are stimulated to produce larger muscle and collagen... theoretically. It has taken me using the tool a few times to feel more confident but make no mistake it feels weird sometimes, I concentrate on my upper inner cheek directly under my eye because I feel like this is a larger muscle and where I have experienced sag. Hold one rod still, introduce the second and move away from the first one. It makes a difference where you start and stop and maybe reading some of how kinesiology works would suit you. I am impressed and have noticed an improvement in my face. <3After receiving unit the lowest setting provided a shock equivalent to an electrical short. Others have posted similar so either stock is defective, damaged unit is being resold, or item is a sham product. Two refund requests were required and not until a negative review was posted was my return located and refunded (a month after return delivered to warehouse). Going back to alter my review I find it was deleted which is sketchy AF.Buyer Beware.I like this product line. I recommend this product to others but read and research training is needed. This is a professional graded instrument and not to played with study and read up on it uses.This was a colossal waste of money. On the lowest setting it shocks your face and is way to strong. It shocks the skin very deep.So I found out that this machine does not offer real micro current. (I suspect it’s just an EMS machine) You are not suppose to feel micro current, and it should not cause the muscles to move much at all. I can’t even use the long oblong wands, they hurt so bad even on the lowest setting, and if you do use the long wands, I advise using a mouth Guard to protect your teeth, as it felt as though mine almost broke from such immense contraction. The idea behind real, true micro current is to increase ATP and recharge your skin as well as muscles, but if you use anything higher than 500-600 microamps, you actually do the complete opposite to your skin.
