I am an older lady with very fair skin. Everyone tells me what beautiful skin I have.I like to read about all the new developments in skin care, especially for older skin, and I did a lot of reading about the use of LED to improve skin tone and eliminate wrinkles. I decided to buy a unit and try it myself. I decided on this type of unit because I wanted something I could lie under, instead of something that goes directly on my face, like a mask.This unit was not cheap, but I thought I would spend some more and get a better quality device, but in this case I was wrong.You can see from the unboxing that the unit comes well packaged, but the problem became apparent almost immediately. You see, it does come with a booklet, but the booklet has no instructions or advice for use. None. There are explanations of what LED treatments can do, and some before and after pictures, but no instructions. I will say that what is written is barely understandable, but even so, there are clearly no instructions for assembly or use.Regarding assembly, you can figure out how to put it together. I did my best and didn't want to force it, so it doesn't look perfect, but it's functional. However, once you have put it together, the real problems begin. First, I turned the machine on, and the number 20 was displayed. Is this a timer for twenty minutes? Is it level twenty of exposure or brightness? Since there is no explanation in the manual, it's impossible to tell. I left it on for a few minutes and figured out that the number was actually a timer. I have included a photo of one page of the booklet, as well as a sticker that is attached to the unit. Even the sticker is of no use and makes no sense.Now that I had figured all of these things out, I was left with the following unanswered questions: What color lights should I use in order to get the results I want? How long should each treatment be? How often can I use it or should I use it? Do I have to wear the goggles that are included to protect my eyes, or can I leave them off to treat the skin around my eyes? I had to google this information, but only got general information, because each unit is different and I wanted specific information about THIS unit.In the end, I used the red light for ten minutes a day, for the past two days. I used the goggles. The treatment itself is not unpleasant. You can feel something, almost like a prickling. But, now that I have done three treatments, my skin is itching and burning, and I don't know if this is good or bad. Is this a sign that it's working, or is it a sign that it's damaging my skin? I'm rather concerned about this and don't plan to use this unit again any time soon.The skin on your face is very delicate and easily damaged. You also can't hide it if something goes wrong. I am giving this product one star. For this amount of money, there should be detailed instructions on its use. I need to know what color I should use, how long I should use it, what the treatment should feel like, how long it takes to see results, and what the warning signs might be if it is doing damage to my skin. As it is right now, I can't tell if it's giving good results or bad results. The manufacturer needs to provide guidance about their product, and suggestions for best results. I don't want to play games with my skin and I think for this amount of money, I should have good information and support and not have to spend half a day on the internet in order to find out if I am improving my complexion or burning it out.
