We used this for a full six weeks. This is a dog who had 5 different homes in five months. He first was turned in as a stray at 5 months (a guess by the rescue). He then was so energetic, and had learn horse play was fun. That may have been true when he was a little puppy. Not so cute at 100 pounds.He came to me with a lot of fears, uncontrollable behaviors, jumping on people, could not take walks as the out side world would overwhelm his senses and he would start jumping and running circles. Not something a 100 pound dog can do and be on a walk.It was suggested by his behaviorist as another tool.It is hard to say what the effect of the halo has and what effect all the other things had. He has trainer he see weekly. A behaviorist that sees him semi-regularly. A stable home. Consistency in what is expected. A healthy diet. And the benefit of time.However, he did seem to benefit from the sessions. I would not say you get this and magic happens. But I would say it gave us relaxing time together. He did seem calmer. And now that he has been here almost eight months. He is a different animal. More confident. More calm. And is able to take walks now without being overwhelmed. He is a lovely dog who brings joy to all he meets now.I will also mention that a visitor came the first day after the sessions started and commented on how much better he was. I had another unsolicited reaction from another visitor the following day.So though it should not be the only thing you do, it was something that seems to help my wild beast become a wonderful member of our family.
