I purchased an XL for my daughter who fits in mediums right now so she would have room to grow into it for a couple of years. It fits surprisingly well for being so big. We purchased the girls' pink coat on sale over the summer and the quality is great. My daughter likes the liner that can be removed and worn for warmer days and its easy for her to zip back together by herself. The zipper is a nice durable metal material which makes me happy after several cheap zippers that busted on another brand! The hood has a convenient liner that prevents wind from blowing inside and off of the head. My daughter is 8 years old and has no issues zipping this herself--the zipper never catches on fabric!!My son and I agreed on the color and we love it! He was so excited to wear it to school the following day. Love the 3 in 1! North Face never disappoints.The coat was as it was described online.Great coat. My daughter loves it. Sent back the large for a medium. She is 10yo, 80lbs and usually wears a size 12. She was happy to wear it skiing and to school and now wears the undercoat for spring.This item showed up with no tags, food stains and saliva/ booger marks on the sleeves. Gross and unsanitary to say the least. So disappointed. We returned the coat, but what a waste of precious weekend time having to return the coat and find a new one.
