This night cream is supposed to double as a serum and moisturizer, simplifying your skincare routine. It comes in premium packaging with a combo spatula/applicator, and you can buy refills for slightly less, which is nice. It's unscented and almost has almost a whipped texture when you spoon it out (and I immediately loved that aspect), but it spreads on your skin like a normal lotion. It feels light yet very moisturizing. This has several research-backed ingredients for skin. Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 form Matrixyl 3000, which has some studies on people to back up its claims of improving wrinkles and skin tone. It also has acetyl hexapeptide-8 which is known as Botox in the bottle (obviously its effects are much more subtle or no one would ever get Botox). Niacinamide and licorice extract are also researched ingredients that brighten and improve skin appearance. This also has a more stable form of vitamin C, but a newer study indicates that it still may break down. There are some other studies that look promising. It would be nice if the concentration were disclosed.Isopropyl myristate could be comedogenic to some. I didn't experience any skin issues with this cream, but the retinoid I use increases cell turnover, so that might be less of an issue for me.Will this cream double as both a serum and a moisturizer and justify the higher cost? I think for many skincare addicts like me, I'll still use a serum, but I love that this has peptides in it, and it has worked well to keep my skin well-moisturized with my retinoid use. Some might really appreciate skipping a step though. There are some other quality lotions/creams out there with peptides but this is a premium choice (based on the order of ingredients and expected concentrations) if you can afford it and you aren't prone to clogged pores. The ingredients on my box are different from what is currently listed on their website. Maybe this is a new and improved formulation; I like some of the additions (licorice, acetyl-hexapeptide-8) and the preservatives are even gentler. My box also appears to have a typo: Cocglycolo-Caprylate/Caprate is not an ingredient I can find any information about. I suspect it should be Coco Caprylate/Caprate. I also considered Glyceryl Caprylate/Caprate, but Glyceryl Caprylate is already listed. Here are the ingredients since they are not currently part of the listing:Aqua (Deionized Water), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Aloe Vera Gel) Juice, Cetyl Alcohol, Zemea (Corn) Propanediol, Dodecane, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Niacinamide, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Squalene, Cocglycolo-Caprylate/Caprate (*likely a typo as it's not in any ingredient list), Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Acetyl-Hexapeptide-8, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Sodium PCA, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Allantoin, DL-Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Algae Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Chamomilla Recutita (Chamomile) Extract, Saccharide Isomerate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Borago Officinalis (Borage) Oil, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, A-Bisabolol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Glyceryl Undecylenate, Potassium Sorbate*ingredient candidate: Coco Caprylate/Caprate
