PT-101 Full Face Organic Vapor & Particulate Respirator with Dual P-A-3 Activated Carbon Cartridges - Safety Mask with Eye Protection for Painting, Chemical Handling & Industrial Work

I'm 6'3" with a large head. This seems to be a better fit to a smaller individual as the straps are all the way loose and I can barely get it on my head. And the area inside by the mouth is extremely small. That's my only issue with it. Other than the slightly smaller sizing, this respirator is exactly what I needed.Fits snugly. Although not recommended, you can wear sunglasses under the mask if the sunglasses fit closely to you face (you don't get as tight a seal with sunglasses). I intend to buy Parcil painting lenses and afix some reflective shading on them to wear while cutting grass, yard work,etc. Would be nice if Parcil sold the tinted painting covers as well as clear. Overall very pleased. Use them for outside work, in crawl space, painting.The mask itself is great. Very comfortable and seals well. Doesn’t fog up and cleans up nicely with some isopropyl alcohol. However, the filters are complete trash. They claim to be P100 filters, but they absolutely are not. I nearly hacked a lung up painting my house and had to stop before I passed out. If you buy this mask, throw away the filters immediately and pick up some 3M P100s. These are amazing filters that immediately made this mask a usable product. DO NOT TRUST YOUR LIFE TO THESE GARBAGE FILTERS.It's uncomfortable if you wear glasses.Other than that I haven't had a chance to use it and hope I never will. But for the price I feel safer should there be a nearby chemical fire or worse.It's important to know you purchased a quality product that will not fail when you need it.Original post = It states it is a large, but if I talk, my chin comes out the bottom!Plus it is 2 pieces and where the screws are at, there is a gap!And you can not return it...**UPDATE**The company reached out to me and actually sent me a different mask at no charge! I thought this was great customer service and for that, I give them 5 stars instead of the original 1 star... I haven't tried the New Mask as of yet, but wanted to say thank you to them and let everyone know that their customer service rocks!While this mask creates a nice airtight seal and is most likely safe in nature, it is flawed in the sense that you cannot properly clean it as you should be able to. Working in a nursing home it is ESSENTIAL for me to be able to fully sanitize the respirator after doffing at the end of each shift. However it is stated you can only wash with water and mild soap. This is not effective in COVID-19 or infectious disease management to OSA guidelines. Taking apart the nose piece is a NIGHTMARE and I do not recommend it. I almost was not able to put it back on. Invest your money in 3M respirators that come easy to re assemble and are strong enough to be soaked in bleach solution. However if you will be using this for chemical protection it might be a good choice for you as the mask offers anti fog features and is comfortable overall. Also sometimes the straps come loose breaking the seal. Be careful not to toy with them once a seal is made.I used it for the first time today to work on my resin projects after 10 minutes it started hurting my face. Well after about four hours of working on resin projects I have a headache and my face is in dented. I’m 5'3" way about 125 pounds so I’m pretty small.UPDATE: The company contacted me directly after seeing my review and refunded my money and suggested the 1/2 facemask. I did take their recommendation and it is perfect. Thank you.Great mask, great value for money!You get what you pay for, had a couple of the cheaper masks (£30 ISH) but this is well worth the extra bit. I used the mask everyday spraying mistcoats in house's and it's comfortable to have on for hours. Great build quality, heavy duty rubber straps (cheaper ones have snapped in half the time I've had this)Hands down the best thing about the mask for me is how easy it is to wipe the paint off! I keep a microfiber cloth up my sleeve when I'm spraying so I can wipe the mask as and when, and even paint that's been sat on it over night in the van wipes off with a bit of pressure. The cheaper masks I've had to use wipes or water and thats a pain when you don't have time to get wipes or water 5/6 times spraying a house if yo uwant to see clearly. Good scratch resistants too, cheap ones have got to the point that I can't see because just the microfiber cloth has scratched it that badly(I use mat paint btw, not sure how it would be with gloss)Would definitely recommend
