The North Face Women's Gotham Parka II - Waterproof Winter Jacket with Hood, Warm Insulated Coat for Cold Weather - Perfect for Skiing, Snowboarding & Outdoor Adventures

It’s a warm jacket but the feathers from the jacket get all over your clothing.I bought this for my daughter to wear as she walk’s across her college campus in between classes. She absolutely loves it. She feels like it is the perfect length hitting at her mid thigh, (she’s 5’6”).It feels lightweight but is really warm.I only own one other North Face jacket, and that’s the Denali. I absolutely love it, but I know I need a second jacket that’s not fleece and a bit heavier during the winter. I’m 5’9, 170 and I typically wear an XL in all jackets - the Denali is even a bit loose on me in that size, but very comfortable. I don’t know if this just cut differently, but with an XL it feels more fitted in my waist, and feels okay against my chest. It’s fine at my arms and good length in the hood. I’m a little torn, because I’ve never had to buy an XXL in a jacket before, but maybe it would give me the room since I prefer looser jackets. For now I’ll stick with the XL, but I might get another size in the future. It’s very warm and stylish, and overall I would recommend it. But due to sizing issues, I would recommend trying on in stores first before you buy it online.Love that this coat is super lightweight and yet very warm. It is very compact and you can pack it up into a small bag. I found it surprisingly warm in temperatures as low as the high 30s. Lower than that with a colder wind chill, I was too cold in this jacket alone when worn in Colorado last weekend while it was snowing. Might have been OK if I had on several more layers.The pockets are soft, lined with plush, and warm if no gloves on.The overall look of the check it is nice, whether it’s zipped up or open, and not too bulky looking at all For a down jacket. Not sure if I’m going to keep it because of the price and not warm enough on its own for a ski trip. With the UGG boots I bought them and the fact that the jackets hit their mid to upper thighs, they are covered almost head to toe. They want to wear them even when it’s not that cold outside. These jackets are well made and look very durable. They have a removable hood so they are versatile. They look nice and appear to be more expensive than they actually were. I loved them so much I purchased one for myself. No need for bulky sweaters underneath - they are extremely warm.size and fit: XXL "shoulder width" fits like a XL. I am a Regular to the NorthFace Brand, I had to go up a size in this Jacket for the 2019 season of the Women's Gotham Parka II being sold this year. Not sure why sizing is off for NorthFace this year and I am a "regular" buyer of the Brand. I bought both Gotham Parka II's this year ( THE WAIST VERSION and THE KNEE LENGTH) in Iridescent Blue....HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE COLOR. The Knee Length is Lighter and not as WARM as the WAIST LENGTH Northface Women's Gotham Parka II being sold.I have had this coat for a few years but have only worn it maybe 20 times when it is very cold outside. The zipper is already broken and won’t zip up. For the amount of money I spent on this jacket, I would think it was better quality.I'm about 5'4" and 110lbs and wasn't sure if I should buy a size x-small or small. I opted for the small, and I'm glad that I did because there is room to layer a sweater underneath and still gives me a good shape. I am almost always cold, but this seems to keep me nice and toasty!This jacket is super warm & comfortable. Well worth the money.I simply love it! And the shipping was super fast!! I am in love with this jacket! It is sooo warm and confy, sporty kind of looking but the same time looks clean and casual, I just love it love it love itt!
