As the headline says, I was going down and hit my head but this helmet saved me what would've been a REALLY bad spill.I don't go around hitting my head with different helmets on so I can't compare this to anything. But I can tell you this is my second one and other than the inner pads which are very flimsy, this is a great helmet.
