My almost 12-year-old son LOVES this winter jacket! He’s the youngest of his three siblings, so he’s used to getting hand-me-downs from his brother. Since this jacket was on sale, though, I was happy to get it for him. It’s an added bonus that it looks great with his Raptors jersey! When we visited Park City recently, I could spy him from far away, thanks to those flame-red sleeves! After his first run, he actually removed layers, saying the jacket’s fleece kept him warm enough.It should be noted that we’re from Florida, and rarely wear coats. When it comes to winter wear, I prefer buying names I trust/clothing that’ll hold up, knowing this stuff will be passed down for years. (My nephews will be next to wear these things.)The fit: the LARGE works for him. He’s plays many sports, so he’s an “active build,” and he’s tall for his age. We first tried the XL in another color, but it was really big on him. He hasn’t reversed the jacket yet (he thinks that feature is cool) ... maybe that’ll happen next year, assuming it still fits.?This is a amazing product very warm. My son loved it he doesn't like big bulky coats and it was like he didn't want to take it off. Looked everywhere in stores for this or one like it for boys but could only find girls and women sizes. This is a must have for your child in the colder months not too bulky but very warm and holds up to a roudy 10 yr old who can't seem to not tear his clothes up lol.I loved this coat but my son did not only because there was no hood. It fit him perfectly based on the size chart measurements but I had to return it for one with a hood. This coat was also very soft on the inside and reversible, only thing making it better would be a hood! North Face coats never disappoint me!Wish it had a good but other than that- love it!Nice looking jacket - I should have gone up a size to M instead of small. My son is 9 years old but on the small side / 57lbs and lean. The jacket is a nice fit but if he wears something heavy underneath, it may be a little snug. He’ll probably only get to wear this for the next few months.Size is smaller then expected, buy one size larger for exact fit and two sizes larger to last a few months, had to return and waiting on refund.I was kind of hesitant because of the less reviews but I’m very satisfied! I bought for my boyfriend nephew, he loved it! Well packaged, no smell, fast delivery!Purchased this coat for my grandson. He hasn't worn it yet. However the look and weight (he prefers light weight) met all expectations.
